‘The New Rembrandt’
After several years of hard work, our state-of-the-art production line has been opened. With this we will launch our revolutionary GeoProArte® collection. It is not for nothing that this line has been given the name ‘The New Rembrandt’. The freedom that the revolutionary design technique offers in combination with the perfected finishing is modern art that withstands the test of time.
GeoProArte® is the latest in decorative paving: an extremely strong concrete base with a high-quality ceramic design. This state-of-the-art design technique enables us to match the beauty of natural stone, wood and other materials with a concrete tile. But we can also give free rein to our creativity thanks to the great design freedom that design technology offers. A true trendsetter! We have perfected the design technique for the launch of the collection in 2022. We also won the German Design Award for 2022 with GeoProArte®; we offer answers to modern issues with the design.
Need to reinvent yourself
We live in an era that demands materials of impeccable quality and authentic aesthetics. In every area we make more conscious choices, where we feel good and radiate our world view. The call for change also affects traditional markets and companies. And this challenge of change was met by MBI a few years ago, with the design of a tile that embodies the current era and lays a sustainable foundation for future generations. Designing garden paving of high ornamental value with a range of options in color and design to meet individual requirements. The solution lay in combining traditional mechanical and new digital techniques.
Durable seal | The protective layer
An important part of a new decorative paving category is impeccable quality and ease of maintenance. That is where a large part of this new invention lies: the sustainable protection of the designs by means of Protection Plus Factor 90. This 4-fold protective layer immortalizes every design and makes the tiles more resistant. This way they are protected against all weather conditions and liquids, fats and acids have virtually no chance of leaving a lasting impression. As a result, the entire GeoProArte® range is also easy to clean, while it is virtually insensitive to discolouration. This seal runs invisibly along with the quality of the designs.
The ceramic design
GeoProArte® is a new decorative paving category in itself. New techniques enable us to design in a way that was not possible before. We can now connect lifelike nuances and characteristics that originated in nature with our solid garden tiles. But we can also give free rein to our creativity thanks to these new techniques. For example, the current range offers a number of natural looks that are indistinguishable from real ones, such as those of wood, quartz and hard stone. But also distinct (industrial), authentic looks and even varied mosaic designs. The ceramic design combines beautifully with the concrete texture and the distinction between digital and ‘real’ is a thing of the past.
German Design Award Winner 2022
GeoProArte® is the winner of the ‘German Design Award 2022’. The theme for 2022 is: ‘How Designers Think’. The jury sets the condition that a promising design also offers answers to modern issues. That is exactly in line with our ideas behind this new decorative paving category: with this new tile we want to lay a renewed foundation for the next generations. That is why we are proud of this award!
Versatility in use | Concrete base
The versatility of concrete is enormous. Thanks to more than 78 years of experience, we have managed to bend them into completely new categories with unique features. Both in color, dimensions and properties. With this knowledge we have taken a rock-solid starting point for the basis of GeoProArte®. Superior quality in a no-nonsense concrete base. It is precisely that impassive versatility that these designs demand.
Production proces in short
De betonnen basis voor GeoProArte® wordt op traditionele manier geperst in de bestaande fabriekshal. De tegel gaat daarna door naar de voorbewerking. Na de wasstraat, die zorgt voor een parelmoeren toplaag, wordt een eerste beschermlaag aangebracht en worden de tegels geconditioneerd geklimatiseerd voordat ze naar de nieuwe hal gaan. In niks lijkt deze nieuwe hal op de oude hal waar de basis wordt gemaakt. Wie de moderne productielijn ziet, zal inderdaad niet direct vermoeden dat daar tuintegels gemaakt worden. Het ziet er allemaal clean en hightech uit. Het hart van de productielijn wordt gevormd door een groot aantal servers die boven de hal in een aparte ruimte staan en die de digitale techniek aansturen.

- An air purifier has been installed in the production hall that extracts 60,000 m3 of air per hour from the room to ensure that the design layer remains dust-free.
