MBI concrete pavement
A sustainable alternative for clinkers
Concrete pavers are a sustainable alternative to baked clinkers. Unlike clinkers, concrete paving does not require a baking process. After production, concrete bricks are put in climate chambers to harden. An additional advantage of not baking is the higher dimensional stability of the concrete stones. The durability of MBI paving is furthermore hidden in the high-quality top layer, which makes the pavers more resistant to the influences of time.
Pavement with high-quality top layer
At the basis of every MBI stone is strong concrete with a high-quality top layer of 10 mm thickness. The MBI paving is categorised on the basis of these top layer compositions. We use six overarching product lines: Basic, GeoBasic, GeoRetron, GeoColor, GeoSilent, and GeoStructura. These product lines differ in a few ways:
- The degree of colourfast material. With the exception of the Basic series, at least 70% natural and colourfast material is used in the top layer for all categories.
- Grain fraction of the top layer. From a very closed surface (0-2 mm) to a coarse / structured surface (2-5 mm).
