Opening of the First GeoCeramica® Center in Amsterdam: Postmus at Villa ArenA

The very first GeoCeramica® center in Amsterdam will be grandly opened on Friday, February 3. Located in the Amsterdam residential mall, the focus has traditionally been indoors, but now it’s also the place to find all outdoor materials and advice. With the new showroom, the goal is to bring the outdoors closer to the indoors. The GeoCeramica® center is a space dedicated to the full concept for gardens.

Ceramic on Concrete for Outdoors

GeoCeramica® is a ceramic-on-concrete garden tile, invented by MBI De Steenmeesters in 2016. To date, around 6 million square meters have been sold, and the collection has grown to 252 designs in 2023. Due to its success, specialized GeoCeramica® centers have recently been established. Garden consumers can visit these centers for inspiration and explore all the designs and possibilities that GeoCeramica® offers.

For Outdoor Living

Postmus, originally known as Postmus Sierbestrating, has had a beautiful showroom next to the N206 between Leiden and Katwijk since 2008. The company also has locations in Lisse and Zwaanshoek. Over the years, Postmus shifted its focus to a comprehensive offering of everything related to the home, from garden design to installation. Postmus director Chris van Rijn emphasizes why the Postmus concept is not only unique but also fits perfectly in Villa ArenA. "We expect customers to be amazed when they walk into our showroom," he says. "In the new showroom, you'll feel completely outdoors and hardly notice that you’re in a residential mall."

Partner MBI De Steenmeesters

The opening of the center is the sixth in a series of centers across the Netherlands. GeoCeramica® centers are also located in South Holland (Postmus Sierbestrating in Valkenburg), Central Netherlands (Pellegrom in Waardenburg), the Gooi and Vecht region (Buiter Beton in Naarden), Central Netherlands (Boeve in Oldebroek), North-East Netherlands (Buiter Beton in Balkbrug), and now a brand-new center in Amsterdam. These centers are focused on large show gardens with plenty of space to explore the materials. MBI has noticed that the demand for physical examples of decorative paving remains strong. Garden consumers want to feel and experience the materials firsthand.
