AquaFerm® en Stabikorn®

The combination of two different materials presents a technical challenge, certainly for decorative paving. Firstly to connect the materials in a sustainable manner and secondly to maintain this connection under all circumstances such as moisture, frost and heat. Such a construction seemed impossible, given the different physical properties of both materials. The contraction and expansion differences, for example, seemed insurmountable. Thanks to the unique connecting component AquaFerm® and the draining Stabikorn® layer, this is made possible in a sustainable way. Meanwhile with proven results and several years of practical experience!

It is not without reason that GeoCeramica® has been awarded with the prestigious Reddot Design Award.

Powerful AquaFerm® connection

AquaFerm® is a binding (somewhat flexible) paste between the special Stabikorn® base and the high-quality ceramic top layer. The fresh, slightly moist AquaFerm® is applied to the Stabikorn® during the production process. A reaction of the water with the AquaFerm® paste results in the most powerful connection between the underlayer and the ceramic tile. This process continues during the first months. In fact you can state that the more water, the stronger the connection will become. Very handy in our Northern European climate!

Stabikorn® water-permiable layer

Thanks to AquaFerm®, the ceramic is inextricably linked to the water-bearing Stabikorn® layer with integrated spacers. This makes placement of this decorative paving easy, fast and at a relatively low costs compared to traditional ceramic tiles. When determining the thickness of the Stabikorn®, the ideal weight was considered to guarantee the load-bearing capacity and stability. In addition, the material is very resistant and does not degrade due to conditions such as moisture and the like. It therefore is not just a ‘ceramic tile on a concrete layer’.

Big, bigger, biggest!

GeoCeramica® MAXXIMA is available in a royal size: 100x100 cm. This size makes every garden impressive! The available designs are also very luxurious.

In-lite makes outside special

Since 2018, all GeoCeramica® tiles are available with pre-drilled recesses for in-lite gardenlighting. Exaclty tailored to the beautiful low-voltage lighting of the renowned in-line brand. The recesses can be ‘co-ordered’ from your specialist retailer or landscaper laying your decorative paving. With lighting alongside your garden path, driveway or terrace, you can enjoy your garden longer and more often. An investment worth the effort! We are here to make it easy for you.

GeoCeramica® stairs complete your terrace

By playing with heigths you create the feeling of space in your garden. Stairs are a prectical sollution to implement this dynamic. The difference in height creates more depth. Complementary to your GeoCeramica® tiles you can now realise those stairs in the same design. The 3d cut-out shows the implementation of GeoCeramica® tiles as stairs.

A refined finish with pond or pool edges

Besides robust stairs, you can opt for refined edges to your pond or pool.

Official GeoCeramica® Centers

Several official GeoCeramica® centers have opened it's doors. 'Postmus Sierbestrating’ was the first to open one on June 8th 2021. They showcase a brand new plaza with 1200 m2 of neatly placed planes of decorative paving, in endless (GeoCeramica®) designs. The centers can be found here:

Patent inseperable bond

The connection between the ceramic tile and the supporting substrate is revolutionary. After years of extensive research, we succeeded in connecting two intrinsically different materials. This Dutch invention is called GeoCeramica® and stands for “ceramic on concrete”. The two materials are permanently bonded under all conditions such as moisture, frost and heat.

Saving on Installation costs with GeoCeramica®

Unlike “normal” ceramics, the special foundation needed for a stable patio is actually attached to the ceramic tiles. This makes GeoCeramica® quick to install. Not only do you save on the costs of the foundation, you also save on the working hours required to make a foundation. We have already done that for you!
