Top-layer textures for high-quality pavements

Top-layered bricks

MBI bricks are composed of a core concrete base layer and a top layer. The top layer is applied to the underlayer in such a way that optimum adhesion takes place and the top layer and underlayer are permanently connected.

Since 1980

MBI is the inventor of bricks with a high-quality top layer. These are top layers provided with a high percentage of natural aggregates, in washed and non-washed versions. These bricks guarantee much better colourfastness than traditional concrete clinker. Its success started with the washed texture GeoColor, of which millions of bricks have already been made.

Stones with washed surface

GeoColor

The solid base of the washed-out stone collection is GeoColor Classic. After treatment of the top layer, a beautiful appearance of natural granules is created. Approximately 70% of the visible surface consists of colourfast and natural material of a gradation of 2-5 mm. The natural top layer is partially supported with durable colour additives.

About 80% of the GeoColor Excellent visible surface consists of natural material of fine gradation 1-3 mm. After the washing out process, this results in a finely structured and stylish stone. The natural top layer is partially supported with sustainable and colour-supporting raw materials.

Premium stones with washed surface

GeoColor Prestige

GeoColor Prestige has a visible surface of 100% natural aggregates after treatment. The subtly structured top layer is preserved with a Base Protection treatment. This makes the top layer more maintenance-friendly to use than untreated stones.

Stones with an open top layer

GeoSilent

GeoSilent is a noise-reducing paving solution and extremely suitable for urban areas and village centres. The noise-reducing effect is due to the special surface texture with small openings. Sufficient traffic load keeps the texture open.

GeoStructura

The top layer of GeoStructura, with a choice of fine or coarse gradation, has an open texture. Around 85% of the visible surface consists of natural material. Over time, through normal use, the natural granules become more visible, giving the stone increasing character.
