Interior wall thickness and sound play an important role.
Interior wall thickness
The thickness of an internal wall helps determine not only the load-bearing capacity, but also the space you are left with and the processing of the wall. Here, the processor usually prefers a smaller, lighter interior wall brick to a concrete block. With a thickness of up to 15 cm and a built-in thumb hole, the Brixx is an easily handled interior wall brick. Moreover, the Brixx is available in almost any colour. However, you should note that load-bearing walls require a minimum thickness. For your project, consult a structural engineer to determine the required thickness.
Sound absorption vs. sound insulation
Depending on the application, some need sound insulation and others need sound absorption. Sound insulation keeps sound well inside while sound absorption reduces reverberation in the room. Our concrete blocks and internal wall brick Brixx come in both sound-insulating variant (smooth) and sound-absorbing variant (structure).
Cladding with stone strips
Bring the outside in by cladding an interior wall with stone strips, either partially or entirely. You can choose from our GeoStylistix long format or the more classic waal format. Moreover, you can choose from a wide range of colours. We can also produce your desired colour at a minimum order. Our advisers will be happy to guide you through the possibilities for your ideal interior wall. The application of stone strips requires a flat, load-bearing substrate.
