Van Berkel Group

Started in 1955 as a small family business by brothers Harrie and Henk van Berkel, the Van Berkel Group has grown to include extensive machinery, over 230 committed and hard-working employees and nine locations. From earthmoving and sand extraction to logistics and green recycling. Yet the Van Berkel Group has remained a true family business in Brabant with great ambitions for the future. This includes a new, modern and sustainable head office, located in Veghel. MBI De Steenmeesters was the obvious party to provide the materialization for it.

Unity as the starting point

The modern and sustainable head office was designed by Buro Kade from Den Bosch. One goal behind the design was to create unity between the office and all outbuildings and halls. A green plinth connects the workshop, storage hall and headquarters. This plinth eventually transforms into a mound, creating the feeling that the office is like a low building on top of a hill. GeoStylistix, a modern long-form facade brick with natural granules and beautiful nuance, was chosen for the facade. Because of its natural look, it blends well with the green plinth and dark color of the outbuildings.

The outdoor area was also paved by MBI.
