This unique house in Delft was built using GeoStylistix Shaded Grey. The house is particularly special because the façade is vertically bricked.
Unique home
This unique home was designed by KNEVEL Architects, which has since continued under the name WRK Architects. Careful consideration was given to the façade and the overall look. The aim was to create a truly unique home, and they succeeded! The home, with its vertical 3D façade made of long GeoStylistix facing bricks, was completed in 2018. The vertical facing bricks make the rear façade appear wider. The 3D effect gives the home a unique appearance, making the bricks seem to float. GeoStylistix in the colour Shaded Grey was chosen to bring out the subtle nuances of the bricks in this home.

Special bricklaying technique
Construction company Van der Grift laid this beautiful 3D façade. This standing wild bond brickwork, combined with thin mortar and long-format GeoStylistix facing bricks, creates a unique look. This bricklaying technique requires a great deal of patience and precision. The grey-toned GeoStylistix bricks have been laid completely vertically, with large sections also incorporated in 3D. To allow the side surfaces to blend into the whole, the outer corners have been specially finished with a texture containing scattered secogran. Secogran is an attractive grey product with unique silver mica particles as an added value. This ensures that the outer corners fit even better with the house as a whole. The end result is a beautifully combined 3D façade.
