Dit gezin uit Bussum heeft absoluut geen saaie tuin meer, dankzij het Tom en klusteam van Eigen Huis en Tuin. Vroeger was hun tuin een doorn in het oog en ze wilden graag buiten zitten in de zon. De moeder heeft gevraagd om een romantisch en gezellig sfeertje. Daarom heeft Tom een echte ‘Cottage Garden’ gemaakt. U kunt deze tuin gebruiken als voorbeeld voor uw eigen tuin of als inspiratie.
Een cottage garden is de Engelse stijl van een verwilderde tuin, maar dan wel een beetje gecontroleerd. Hiervoor heeft het klusteam gekozen voor de gebakken bestrating van MBI, namelijk de nieuwe Laagland klinkers van 2017. MBI biedt gebakken bestrating voor elk type tuin, want door hun eigentijdse en duurzame basis zijn ze perfect te combineren met de nieuwste tuintrends van het jaar. De klinkers worden gelegd met voegzand voor een onkruidvrije tuin. Dit zorgt ervoor dat de verwilderde tuin wel in toom blijft.
Ook heeft het gezin een kat waar iedereen dol op is, dus Tom kan deze bewoner zeker niet vergeten. Voor de kat plaatst hij een grote klim- en krabpaal en die past voortreffelijk bij de stijl van de cottage garden! Verder plaatst Tom meerdere zitjes, veel bloemen en achterin een overkapping. Onder de overkapping worden mooie keramische tegels gelegd. Keramiek gaat uw hele leven mee en wordt steeds populairder. Keramische tegels zijn immers kras-, vlek-, vorst- en stootbestendig, makkelijk schoon te maken, kleurvast en onverslijtbaar.
