Een gemeenschappelijke tuin bij een woon-zorgcomplex in Uden brengt een sociaal element aan de buitenruimte bij het complex. Ingericht met sfeervolle bestrating en betonnen zitelementen die onderhoudsarm zijn en langdurig mooi blijven. Een mooi project die realiteit is geworden dankzij vrijwilligers en sponsoren waaronder MBI.

Een thuis voor jongvolwassenen met verstandelijke beperking
Het Klavier in Uden is thuis voor 14 jongvolwassenen met een verstandelijke beperking. Hier kunnen ze grotendeels zelfstandig wonen, onder begeleiding van zorgaanbieder ZorgWiel. Dit project was het initiatief van Rob Hoefs, die zijn zoon en andere jongvolwassen en met verstandelijke beperking een thuis wilde bieden. Daarin vond hij steun van ouders die wilden participeren in de stichting. Veel van de jongvolwassen kenden elkaar al en de basis werd al gauw gezet. De locatie in Uden was gekocht door Bouwbedrijf Peter Peters uit Schaijk. Met een ontwerp en een sociaal bewogen investeerder kon de realisatie van het woon-zorgcomplex beginnen.
Gemeenschappelijke tuin als kers op de taart
Naast het woon-zorgcomplex is er ook een gezamenlijke tuin gerealiseerd. Na de bouw van het woongebouw was er vrijwel geen budget over voor de tuin. Met hulp van vrijwilligers en sponsoren, waaronder MBI voor de bestrating, is er een prachtige tuin neergezet die al snel een favoriete plek is geworden. Marco van Deursen, ouder en kartrekker van de tuingroep, raakte in contact met MBI toen hij collega-prins Carnaval Robert van der Meijden ontmoette. En MBI wilde graag ondersteunen bij de inrichting van de tuin met een donatie van alle benodigde bestratingsmaterialen.
Sfeervolle bestrating
Op basis van het tuinontwerp van Roy Swinkels heeft MBI passende bestrating geleverd voor de gemeenschappelijke tuin. Daarbij is gekozen voor sfeervolle sierbestrating waaronder kleinformaat stenen in warme kleuren en GeoCeramica® tegels met gevarieerd design. Beiden zijn absolute sfeermakers en blijven langdurig mooi doordat ze o.a. kleurvast en onderhoudsarm zijn.
Betonnen zitelementen en parkbanden
Betonnen elementen bieden een mooie en duurzame oplossing voor parken, pleinen en privé en (gemeenschappelijke) tuinen. In de gezamenlijke tuin is gekozen voor lichtgrijze Eleganta parkbanden die multifunctioneel zijn. De maatwerk parkbanden fungeren als opsluiting voor planten én als zitrand. Hiermee is extra zitruimte en sfeer gecreëerd in de tuin. De elementen zijn, net als de sierbestrating, zeer onderhoudsarm en sterk. Hierdoor zullen de bewoners van Het Klavier er jarenlang plezier van hebben.
