Transformatie van Winkelcentrum De Thij in Oldenzaal

Moderne uitstraling

Winkelcentrum De Thij in Oldenzaal is vernieuwd én uitgebreid voor onder andere een modernere uitstraling. Na het tekenen van een overeenkomst tussen de gemeente Oldenzaal, woningcorporatie WBO Wonen en Ahold Delhaize kon de herontwikkeling in de zomer van 2019 beginnen. Daarbij is de Albert Heijn uitgebreid en kreeg de binnen- en buitenruime een geheel nieuwe uitstraling.

Eigentijdse bestrating

In het winkelcentrum ligt een moderne tegel welke naar buiten doorgetrokken is. Daarmee is er een mooie overloop van binnen naar buiten gerealiseerd. Het parkeerterrein bij het winkelcentrum is ook uitgebreid en vernieuwd. Hier is gekozen voor GeoColor Excellent straatstenen in drie kleuren. Middels de verschillende kleuren zijn er parkeervakken gecreëerd. Deze ‘vakken’ lopen op hun buurt weer door in het entree. Op die manier is het gehele terrein één geheel.

Parkbanden als uitrustplaats

De entree, wat verbreed is, heeft verschillende uitrustplaatsen gekregen. Eleganta parkbanden zijn geplaatst op centrale plekken bij het winkelcentrum. Deze parkbanden fungeren als borders én zitplekken, waar men kan uitrusten tussen het winkelen door. De parkbanden zijn immers breed inzetbaar en in verschillende uitvoeringen mogelijk. Naast parkbanden omvat de Eleganta collectie zitelementen en traptreden. Deze eigentijdse collectie is uitermate geschikt voor gebruik intensieve toepassingen en maken pleinen, parken en winkelcentra vriendelijker in de beleving.
