Modern Healthcare: Medical Centre Waterland
Since its construction in 2021, the Medical Centre Waterland has housed several healthcare practices, including Vitaal Mensenwerk GGZ, 123 Voedingsadvies, Podocare, the Benu Apotheek, GPs, Physiotherapy Medical Centre and Coloriet Thuiszorg & Wijkverpleging. The building is inspired by the Zeewolde polder and reflects the spirit of the place through a unique facade envelope.

An Homage to the Polder
The front of the MC Waterland is clad in GeoStylistix Shaded Grey in waal-format, combined with a dark grey crushed stone plinth and vertical wooden boards. This composition brings the characteristic elements of the water and forest of Zeewolde's polder to life in the building. The bricks are jointless brickwork with dark strike-through mortar, which reinforces the desired horizontal character in the facades.
Harmonious design
At the rear, the building exudes a serene calm with a layering of light concrete stone tones, represented by the GeoStylistix Shaded White. This design provides a harmonious contrast to the vibrant front, while remaining true to the inspiration of the polder.
